Barbara Ann Corcoran
Barbara Ann Corcoran is an American businesswoman. In 2001, she established The Corcoran Group in New York City. She sold the business to NRT for $66 millions. Then, shortly after, she exited from the company. Corcoran is one of ABC's first Shark investors has been part of every episode of Shark Tank. In February 2020, Corcoran had made 53 deals, the biggest being a $350,000 deal that was able to cover 40 percent of Coverplay. Corcoran was second of the family of 10 children, and was raised in Edgewater. Florence Corcoran was Florence's mom and a homemaker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. was her father through Corcoran's childhood. The family depended on food delivery services for free from a local grocer. Corcoran still remembers her father as someone who drank often and did not treat her mother with respect. Corcoran was struggling in school, and she discovered later that she had dyslexia. Corcoran entered high school in St. Cecilia High School Englewood following her departure from her Catholic elementary school. Corcoran who was in the process of failing several courses in her first year of high school, was moved to Leonia High School. There, she received a D.
